Was last October 12.
It was when I officially declared that I belong to someone else. Again.
Life is indeed full of surprises.
One day, you're devasted by the fact that you are literally alone. Thinking that no one can ever love you again the way that you wanted to be loved. Then unexpectedly, someone will come along. Someone who makes you feel like it's worth giving love a shot again. Though the situation is not even the slightest way same as you imagined it to be... sometimes you just have to be thankful of what life can bring.. if it makes you happy.
After all, life is not a fairytale.
I didn't realize that it's almost 4 months since I've written a blog. I don't know if I'm still good at this. I really missed blogging, writing stories, chatting online with friends, dancing...sigh... those were the good 'ol days.
I do try to bring those routine back. But there's something in my new job, (well not really new since I've been in this company for 8 months now) that makes me not have time for myself anymore. It's not that I'm not happy. I am learning a lot, enjoying the people, the workplace, the knowledge... but when I get home, all I need to do is to get a rest. Unlike before, when I used to have all the time for myself, I don't learn anything at work. In fact, I hate work so much and the people I work with.
Can't get the best of both worlds, huh?
Anyway, my fave local artist, "Billy Crawford" is back in Manila! Whoohoo.... I love this man, therefore, I really find time to watch Uberture every single day to see him. :) Isn't he cute?
Seems like I still connect through my neighbor's wi-fi...
Part of my life last year was to enhance my fave Rain pictures in Photoshop. And like I mentioned in my previous post, I broke my habit when I left the Philippines last December. Now, I saw this latest pic of Rain which I find 'cool' enough to try and work with Adobe once again hoping that my good ol' rusty photoshop skills is just hiding somewhere. Not sure if you'll spot the difference, but I tried not just to make the lighting effects lighter, but tried to make the motorcycle look "shiny and new". And isn't he H.O.T?

It's a Korean word for Happy Birthday, in case you're wondering.
This is my 1st blog entry for 2008. I missed blogging. I used to post blog entries everyday at my "other blog" last year, and I don't know, when I went to the US last December, think that "habit" was disrupted (including updating my story leaving my cyber readers floating.) I think that moving in to a new company and new apartment made the difference. But really, I'm trying my best to still have time for being in the cyberspace.
So what made me inspired to write a blog entry today. Well, I just celebrated my birthday and I think it's nice to write about what happened on my special day.
For starters, I bought large "bilaos" of pancit and BBQ at work which tasted really good! But what I really liked was when I received a cake from our site Director.
I mean, c'mon! Who wouldn't be happy if you're like 9 years older than the number on the cake? (just do the math)
But kidding aside, I think it's sweet of him to go out during the wee hours to buy me a cake. I thought at first it wasn't for me. (duh), and thought someone's celebrating his/her bday too until I see my name written on the cake.
Pity me, but I don't usually get good surprises from my old friends so I'm not used to this.
Or maybe they are not just the sweet type. But it's okay, as long as they remain true friends. But really, working on something to surprise me sometimes won't hurt either.
Next topic! My boyfriend and I finally had the change to eat at Minsok. Minsok is the only korean restaurant that I go to when I crave for K-food. But this is his first time to join me here. I always visit Minsok with my friends. So since it's my b-day, we decided to go there and eat my fave k-food w/c is Samgyeopsal
It turns out that he loved it too!
And I'm happy for this. coz you know when you really like something and you've been boasting about it for years, and when you finally had the chance to let him eat/see/feel it, he was like...
which of course, ruins your day.
We don't look like we're hungry right?
And I learned that in Korean Culture, you gotta keep your mouth full to show that you appreciate the food. If you're a new friend, you must be thinking, what's up with all that Korean weird stuff? Well, get used to it. I'm a fan of Korean culture.
Afterwards, we went to a Korean store to buy Peppero sticks and Chu Chu bar. I have to post a pic of me eating chu chu bar next time. (I left my digicam at my parents' house), coz it's in that picture that I realized that I need serious dieting.
YEAH, you read it right. D-I-E-T is the word. I went home, weighed, crossed my finger and was like
.. I gained...
... 10 f&#^@*n' POUNDS since I came back from the US.
What the?
So really, if you're my friend and you see munching some junk food, I'm giving you the permission to
me anytime!
Now before I get really enthralled in writing about how much I gained over the past two months, I just like to add that I met with my bestfriend, Jok and my fave niece, Sheryl today. It felt really nice to be with my 2 best girls at the same time on a special day.
It's actually a post-special day since we met the day after my bday. Sad thing is, I forgot to take a pic of us 3.
So going back to my weight issue,
Am I really discussing this? I was really upset that I decided to go on with the 11 day diet that Gina gave me. It's more of like a south beach diet, I think. I'm not too good in remembering diet names, obviously.
So I went to the supermarket to buy the "items" needed for the diet.
And I can't even believe that I'm in the "fruit and yougart" section most of the time! And it turns out that "items" I think is much more expensive than me eating in McDonald's every single day! To the fact that, I am "dieting", I guess my wallet's not!
Alright, this is a bit long now. It shows how I missed writing. And if you are reading this, I hope you enjoyed the entry as much as I do.
I hope to be back and write more. That is IF, my neighbor won't realize to put a password on his/her router so that little miss sneaky here won't get free internet access
An early greeting from my other boyfriend
Yes, I'm dreaming, whatever! Hmm.. when can I get a greeting like this from Rain on Xmas day?
This clip is about Matthew Fox on Speed Racer. But I see RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! Gosh. Even Pau pointed out that in Youtube, the comments are all about Rain and they don't even bother to talk about Matthew. hehe. Can't wait to see this in the theaters!!!
I woke up with that weird sound from the outside... freezing, I managed to get out of bed and check what's going on. To my surprise (and I'm not sure why I was surprised) it was snowing outside.
Amazed by how the snow fills up the road and the hood of the cars parked outside, I placed two hands on my chin enjoying the view.
For someone like me who was snow-deprived all my life, it's pretty amazing to see how snow flakes fall down from the heavens like this. I saw 2 guys walking outside without any ear muffs or gloves and I thought, "Man, they must be freezing cold!" Here I am, already freezing cold inside my hotel room, wearing a jacket on top of my shirt, jogging pants and socks. How much more for those two guys? This is one of those days when I look back to what I've been through the past years and tell myself that "I deserve being here" Yeah, I'd like to think that I deserve to be here.
Tonight is our first night here in Buffalo, New York where we are scheduled to go on training for this new account we're going to handle. I recently joined a new company and I can proudly say that I've made the right decision. It's not just about this training offshore, but because of the people that I'll be working with that makes this company just as great. The main reason why I joined this company is because of the strong upper management team and as days go by, they still managed to impress me on how they do things. Considering that I've worked with almost all of them in the past, I'd say "great" is an understatement. Even the support team is very accomodating, making sure that they "support" Operations all the way. Adjusting schedule where we need them and not the other way around.
We had 2 days Team Building sessions before we fly here to NY. They, as in the Directors made sure that we won't be going out of the country as strangers. We are still not "close friends" since it's been a week but at least, we are not strangers. The Training Team is really promising. I've been with them for more than a week now and I'm amazed on how they can be optimistic and accomodating. I've never heard even 1 negative comment from them which I really liked. Some of the guys took care of checking in our luggage and getting our seats before hand. One created a blog for our trip complete with maps in case we get lost. They are very funny too! And it's clean fun. Not like the type who will make fun at the expense of others to make themselves funny.
As per the Directors, we have a strong Operations Team. I personally had the chance to work with Wilbur (TL) and Cathy (OM) before when I was with Convergys and I really liked their work ethics. And they are pretty good too. I met 3 new people, Gina (OM), Clauding (TL) and Jaimee (TL). These guys have been working with each other for years in another call center so you can imagine how close they are now. Good for them that they have each other since the start, I hope I have someone from my previous company with me too. Though I've never worked with them yet, I am positive that they are great! I hope that we will all bond and get to know each other more before the GO LIVE. One thing I really wish for is to have a solid Team aiming for 1 same goal and will back up each other all the way. And I sincerely hope I've found it.
Anyway, I have to end this now and sleep. Later, our VP will take us to the mall so we can shop for our winter clothes.
I'm excited to blog about our day to day adventure, but I'd like to have pics to come along with it. Sadly, I don't have the software with me to tranfer pics to this PC
I'll find a way soon.

on Inspired.
